Deborah Darlene McMorries, age 67, passed away on March 28, 2024 at Nacogdoches Medical Center, Nacogdoches TX. She was a resident of Nacogdoches, TX. Debbie was a servant of Christ, loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother.

Debbie was born on August 12, 1956, in Elyria Ohio, to her loving parents William Frank Vinsant and Helen Frances Vinsant, who precede her in death. Debbie graduated from Upper Sandusky, Ohio High School in 1974 and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in business from Ashland University in1996 and her master’s degree in business from Central Michigan University in 2003. She worked for AdvancePCS as an AVP. She married her beloved husband, Kim on August 25, 2004.

Debbie was an active member of North Street Church of Christ and had a strong love for the Lord and a heart for sharing her faith with others. She was thankful to serve as an interpreter for the deaf at Richland Road Church of Christ in Marion, Ohio. Debbie and her husband shared a love of travel and adventure exploring the world in their ForeTravel RV, recently completing a 6 week tour of Alaska.

Debbie was passionate about her many grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence. She often spoke of her deep love for them, cherishing every moment spent together. She also got great joy from her two dogs DeweyD and Cooter. When Debbie developed cancer, she said that the only thing really important to her was her relationship to Christ and others.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Kim McMorries and her loving family including her sons: Steve Young with children Lauren and Duke from Cave Creek, AZ, Staten Young and wife Molly with children Lawson, Anna, and Walker from Greensboro, NC; Stepchildren: Kyle McMorries and wife Becky with children William and Susanna from Nacogdoches, TX, Ryan McMorries and wife Leah with children Jack, Michael, and Solomon from Falkville, AL, and Elyse McMorries Gallegos and husband John with children Neyland and Griffin from Huntsville, AL. She is also survived by her brother Dave Vinsant with wife Cheryl from North Richland Hills, TX and Nephew Shane Vinsant with wife Alexis from Bryan, TX.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Debbie will be held on April 5th at 3:30PM at North Street Church of Christ in Nacogdoches, TX.
